Assetto Corsa Rally features fully laser-scanned courses, Unreal Engine 5 visuals, and it’s out in early access on November 13

Kunos Simulazioni, renowned for its acclaimed titles such as Assetto Corsa Evo and Assetto Corsa Competizione, is venturing into new territory with the announcement of a rally game developed in partnership with Supernova Games. Titled Assetto Corsa Rally, this exciting project was unveiled at the Sim Racing Expo 2025 in Dortmund, generating considerable buzz among racing enthusiasts.

Innovative Features and Early Access Launch

Set to make its debut in early access on Steam on November 13, Assetto Corsa Rally is poised to redefine the rally simulation genre. One of its standout features is the introduction of laser-scanned stages, a first for rally games. While many racing simulators have embraced laser scanning to capture the intricacies of racing circuits, the application of this technology to loose surface racing is unprecedented.

Traditionally, rally games have not replicated real-life stages with such precision, often opting for a more abstract representation. For instance, EA WRC included segments that were true to their real-world counterparts, yet lacked the laser-scanned detail that Assetto Corsa Rally promises. This commitment to authenticity sets a new benchmark for the genre, aiming to deliver the most realistic rally experience to date.

A Diverse Vehicle Lineup

The game will feature a diverse roster of vehicles, showcasing models from the 1960s to contemporary machines like the Hyundai i20 N Rally1. Notably, the legendary Group B vehicles will also make an appearance, adding to the excitement for fans of classic rally racing.

At launch, players will be able to explore two meticulously crafted locations: the tarmac roads of Alsace, France, and the challenging gravel terrain of Hafren in Wales. The latter is notorious for its tricky landscape, complete with trackside logs that could easily send an unsuspecting driver into a spin.

With its innovative approach and dedication to realism, Assetto Corsa Rally is set to capture the attention of both seasoned rally fans and newcomers alike, promising an exhilarating journey through the world of rally racing.
