Game Release Details
On Tuesday, Idea Factory International announced an exciting addition to its gaming portfolio with the upcoming release of Death end re;Quest Code Z. This title, developed by Compile Heart, is set to make its debut on PC through Steam on August 27. The game initially launched both physically and digitally in North America for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on May 13, followed by a physical release in Europe on June 27.
The game will be available with both Japanese and English audio options, accompanied by English text, catering to a diverse audience of gamers. Idea Factory International has chosen to release the game in two formats: a standard edition and a limited edition. The limited edition is particularly enticing, featuring an art book, a soundtrack, a Sayaka mousepad, a collector’s box, and an exclusive trading card, making it a must-have for collectors and fans alike.
Interestingly, the company had initially intended to bring the game to the Nintendo Switch in Western markets. However, this plan was scrapped due to the game’s content not aligning with Nintendo Guidelines. Despite this setback, the game is still scheduled for a release in Japan on the Switch, PS4, and PS5 in September 2024.
Set between the first and second numbered entries in the franchise, Death end re;Quest Code Z promises to deliver an engaging narrative that continues to build on the established lore of the series.
