Monster Hunter Wilds’ FF14 collab features not one, but two iconic classes, and it arrives very soon

Exciting Developments in the Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy 14 Crossover

In an exhilarating turn of events, Capcom has unveiled new details regarding the highly anticipated crossover between Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy 14. This announcement was made during the Capcom Online Program livestream at the Tokyo Game Show, much to the delight of fans eagerly awaiting fresh content.

The collaboration, which reportedly sparked from a spirited gathering between the developers, will introduce two iconic jobs from Final Fantasy 14 into the Monster Hunter universe. The first of these is the Dark Knight, a formidable warrior equipped with a massive two-handed sword. This character harnesses the power of darkness through unique abilities, including the devastating Blackest Night, made accessible via the new Bale Armor set. Additionally, players will have the chance to wield the exclusive weapon skill known as Shadowbringer.

On a more whimsical note, the second job featured in this crossover is the Pictomancer, who takes a creative approach to combat. Armed with a paintbrush, Pictomancers can conjure their artwork into reality, unleashing spells such as Pom Motif, Wing Motif, and Mog of the Ages to inflict damage on their foes.

Beyond the gameplay enhancements, players can look forward to a variety of new cosmetic items. These include fresh equipment for Palicos and Seikrets, along with pendants and gestures, including the beloved Cactuar pose. While four gestures will be available at no cost, the Cosmetic DLC Pack 3 will be offered for purchase, featuring a charming fox tail and ears combination, as well as stylish outfits for your furry companions.

Additionally, a new mission will be made available for players who have successfully completed the What Lies Ahead main quest. This update also introduces Nu Udra, the third arch-tempered monster to join the game, which will be accessible through a permanent event quest. Capcom has also hinted at the upcoming Title Update 4, set to feature a battle against the formidable lava dragon, Gogmazios, scheduled for release in December 2025.

The crossover content in Title Update 3 is set to launch on Monday, September 29, while players can expect to encounter arch-tempered Nu Udra a month later, on Wednesday, October 22. For those interested, Monster Hunter Wilds is available for download on Steam.

As the excitement builds, players are left to ponder whether Shadowbringer will emerge as a top-tier weapon in Monster Hunter Wilds. For newcomers drawn in by the allure of Final Fantasy, it’s advisable to ensure that your PC meets the necessary system requirements before diving into this expansive world.
