OneXSugar gets demoed live — watch the dual-screen Android handheld transform into a Switch and a 3DS

The OneXSugar: A Unique Dual-Screen Gaming Handheld

OneXPlayer, known for their innovative handheld devices, has unveiled their latest creation – the OneXSugar. This new device runs on Android but draws inspiration from some of Nintendo’s most beloved consoles.

The OneXSugar features a dual-screen design with rotary mechanisms that allow it to transform from a Nintendo Switch-like body to a Nintendo 3DS with full top and bottom panels. Powered by the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 chip, this handheld boasts impressive performance enhancements and new features like ray tracing support and dynamic global illumination.

For fans of retro gaming, the design of the OneXSugar may bring to mind the Nintendo XDS concept from 2015. The device’s utilitarian and minimalist design gives it a unique look, resembling a mirrorless camera grip with a hinge mechanism for the small screen.

While not intended for serious PC gaming, the OneXSugar is perfect for console emulation. The device is currently available for support on Indiegogo, with pricing and availability details yet to be announced. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new handheld.
