September’s schedule of new games, events, and updates refuses to let 2026 go down in history as a slow year for new releases

September 2026 PC Gamer highlights

As the calendar turns to September, the gaming landscape comes alive with a flurry of new releases, updates, and events. The month kicked off with The Blood of Dawnwalker, a captivating vampire RPG crafted by the talented team at Rebel Wolves, known for their work on the Witcher series. Players can immerse themselves in this dark adventure throughout the month, with the option to embrace their vampiric nature or take the high road. The excitement doesn’t stop there, as Silent Hill: Townfall and Control Resonant are set to launch on the same day, promising a thrilling experience for fans of both franchises.

Among the noteworthy updates, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered stands out. This enhanced version is available for free to all who own the original game, along with its DLC. For many, including myself, this will be the first foray into Geralt’s world, and I anticipate a busy gaming schedule as I also dive into Valheim 1.0.
