UnderDog reveals gameplay trailer for PS5/PC adventure game Mukti

Indian independent game developer UnderDogs Studio has unveiled the gameplay for its highly anticipated PS5 and PC title, Mukti, through a captivating new gameplay trailer.

Mukti: A Narrative Adventure

Mukti is a first-person narrative adventure that draws inspiration from the acclaimed game Gone Home. Set in mid-2000s India, players step into the shoes of Arya, a young woman on a quest to find her grandfather within a vast museum that he owns. As players navigate through this intricate environment, they will unravel the mystery surrounding his disappearance while confronting the unsettling realities and hidden stories related to human trafficking.

This project is part of Sony’s esteemed India Hero Project, with UnderDogs Studio collaborating with Sony for over a year to bring Mukti to fruition. “Being a part of the Sony India Hero Project didn’t just provide us with the momentum to realize our vision; it also reinforced our conviction that Indian stories deserve a place on the global stage,” stated Vaibhav Chavan, the game director and founder of UnderDogs Studio. “We are excited to finally share a glimpse of what we’ve been diligently crafting.”

Players can now wishlist Mukti on the PS Store for PS5 and on Steam for PC. This wishlist feature is crucial for indie projects like Mukti, helping them stand out in a crowded gaming landscape. “As an indie studio from India, every wishlist matters,” Chavan emphasized. “It signals a growing appetite for Indian narratives delivered through high-quality gaming. It breaks barriers and opens avenues, not just for Mukti, but for an entire generation of Indian developers. If the teaser resonates with you, if you believe in compelling stories, innovative voices, and unforgettable journeys—please take a moment to hit that wishlist button.”

Mukti PS5 Features

Designed to leverage the capabilities of the PS5 and PS5 Pro, Mukti promises immersive environments, gripping sequences, and emotionally charged scenes, all best experienced in stunning 4K resolution. UnderDogs Studio is also collaborating closely with PlayStation to optimize haptics and adaptive triggers—hallmarks of the PS5 DualSense controller—to enhance gameplay, including subtle vibrations during quiet puzzle-solving moments.
