Ubisoft Expands Access for XBOX Players
In a significant move for gamers, players who own digital copies of 13 Ubisoft titles on their XBOX consoles can now seamlessly access the PC versions through Ubisoft Connect, all at no extra cost. This initiative aims to enhance the gaming experience by allowing players to enjoy their favorite titles across platforms without the burden of additional purchases.
The games included in this new console-to-PC offer are:
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
- Far Cry 6
- Immortals Fenyx Rising
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
- Riders Republic
- Skull and Bones
- The Crew 2
- The Crew Motorfest
- Rainbow Six Extraction
- Rainbow Six Siege
- Watch Dogs Legion
Customers who purchase any of these eligible games digitally from July 27 onward will gain immediate access to both the XBOX console and PC versions. For those who already own digital copies, Ubisoft is implementing a gradual rollout of the corresponding PC versions, which is expected to be completed by August 4.
To ensure a smooth transition, Microsoft advises users to update Ubisoft Connect to its latest version before exploring their game library. It is important to note that this offer is exclusive to the XBOX console-to-PC pathway; players who possess a PC copy will not be granted a free XBOX console version.
In a further enhancement of the gaming experience, most supported games will allow the transfer of owned editions, season passes, and downloadable content to the PC platform without requiring additional purchases. However, consumable items such as premium currency and other single-use content will not be included in this transfer. Games that support cross-progression may also enable the transfer of certain content and progression between platforms.
In conjunction with this offer, Ubisoft has expanded its catalogue on the Xbox PC app, introducing additional premium editions and add-ons. This enriched selection features content for titles such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws, Rainbow Six Siege, Skull and Bones, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, among other beloved franchises.
