The data revealed that a staggering 80% of these grievances stemmed from server-related issues within the app, while 10% were linked to login errors, and another 10% involved challenges during gameplay.
The troubles began on November 18 at precisely 1:57 AM, affecting players who rely on Microsoft’s networks for their gaming experience.

As the outage unfolded, many players took to social media to voice their frustrations. One user lamented on X (formerly Twitter), “OFC MINECRAFT REALMS GOES DOWN THE MOMENT I START BUILDING. IF ANY OF MY PROGRESS GETS UNDONE IM GONNA SOB.” Another player echoed similar sentiments on Downdetector, stating, “It’d be AWESOME if realms went a full day without problems.”

This recent incident marks the second occurrence of server issues for Minecraft in just a few weeks. Not long ago, players faced similar accessibility challenges due to a major network outage. This earlier disruption was linked to an outage at Microsoft Azure, which affected numerous platforms that depend on its infrastructure for connectivity.
