Brightika charts $3M expansion into PC and console space

Mobile game publisher Brightika has announced an ambitious expansion into the realms of PC and console gaming, committing a substantial million to develop new titles. This strategic move reflects the company’s desire to diversify its portfolio and embrace the growing demand for indie games across various platforms.

Investment Focus and Support Model

The funding will be allocated over the next 12 to 24 months, with a clear focus on enhancing marketing efforts, user acquisition, localization, and community support. Brightika aims to provide a robust support system for indie developers, which includes not only financial backing but also marketing strategies and operational assistance. The company is particularly keen on offering “selective product support,” which encompasses creating demos and trailers to elevate the visibility of its partners’ games.

Brightika intends to leverage its existing models and expertise to improve the discoverability of the games it supports, ensuring that these titles reach their intended audiences effectively. The company’s current library predominantly features mobile free-to-play games, such as IQ Boost, Can You Spot It, and Bingo Klondike.

Upcoming Titles and Partnerships

Among the first PC titles to emerge from this new venture is Bullet Yeeters, a PvP third-person shooter that features whimsical battling toys. Set to launch in the spring, this title marks a significant step for Brightika as it transitions into the PC gaming landscape. The company is actively engaging with indie teams and plans to announce the first recipients of its funding during the upcoming Steam Next Fest.

Alexander Rodichev, the founder of Brightika, expressed his enthusiasm for this new chapter, stating, “We’ve helped mobile studios reach tens of millions of players and generate sustainable revenue. The next step for us is to bring that same level of marketing science and publishing discipline to the PC and console space, where developers often lack access to funding and distribution support.”
