The collaboration will feature digital kit drops showcasing classic and innovative Adidas jersey designs, boot releases linked to real-world player performances, a limited-edition match ball, and a training facility for players to enhance their digital cards.
FIFA Rivals combines the branding of the soccer governing body with casual-friendly gameplay, allowing players to build teams with top clubs and players. They can engage in real-time matches against other players and trade digital player cards as NFTs on the Mythical Marketplace.
Mythical Games previously introduced NFL Rivals, an officially licensed American football game that also offers tradable player cards minted as NFTs on the Mythos Chain, powered by Polkadot technology.
In a separate development, FIFA revealed plans to launch its own Avalanche L1 chain to support the FIFA Collect platform, enabling users to purchase and trade digital collectibles based on real-life players and moments.
