Ubisoft is bundling free PC copies with 13 Xbox games, including Rainbow Six Siege and Valhalla

Ubisoft has unveiled an enticing offer for Xbox users, allowing them to access free PC copies of 13 popular games through its Ubisoft Connect app. This initiative is particularly appealing for those who purchase or already own the digital Xbox versions of these titles, which include fan favorites such as Rainbow Six Siege, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Details of the Offer

Starting today, Xbox users who buy digital console copies of the selected Ubisoft games will receive their PC counterparts at no additional cost. For those who already own these games, linking their Xbox and Ubisoft Connect accounts will grant them access to the PC versions. However, some users may experience a delay in seeing their free games, with availability expected by August 4.

The cross-platform offer encompasses the following titles:

  • Assassin’s Creed Mirage
  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
  • Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
  • Far Cry 6
  • Immortals Fenyx Rising
  • Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
  • Riders Republic
  • Skull and Bones
  • The Crew 2
  • The Crew Motorfest
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
  • Watch Dogs: Legion

Additionally, non-consumable downloadable content will seamlessly transfer between the console and PC versions. Notably, games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla also support cross-progression, enabling players to transfer their progress by uploading save files to the cloud.

While Microsoft typically offers a bundled experience for PC and Xbox games through its Xbox Play Anywhere program, this does not extend to Ubisoft titles. The company maintains that its PC games must operate through Ubisoft Connect, regardless of the purchase platform.

To link an Xbox account with Ubisoft, users can visit Ubisoft’s Account Information page, navigate to Linked accounts, select Xbox, and follow the instructions provided in the pop-up window. Furthermore, users have the option to link their accounts to Steam, Epic Games, GeForce NOW, Amazon Prime Gaming, and Nintendo Switch for cross-progression capabilities across those platforms.

In addition to this new offer, several other Ubisoft games have recently made their debut on the Xbox Store, including Anno 1800 and various titles from the Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry franchises. Many of these games are currently available at significant discounts, such as Star Wars Outlaws at 75% off for .99, Assassin’s Creed Origins for .99 (an 85% discount), and The Division 2 for just .49 (also 75% off). It is important to note that these titles do not support Xbox Play Anywhere, meaning that the console and PC versions on the Xbox Store require separate purchases.
