Hello Windows Insiders, today we are releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5710 (KB5062676) to the Dev Channel. Changes in Dev Channel builds and updates are documented in two categories: new features, improvements, and fixes that are gradually rolled out for Insiders who have enabled the toggle to receive the latest updates (via Settings > Windows Update), and those rolling out to all users in the Dev Channel. For further details, please refer to the Reminders section at the end of this blog post.
New Copilot+ PC Experiences
Introducing the Describe Image Action in Click to Do
A new “describe image” action is now available in Click to Do, providing detailed descriptions of images, charts, and graphs for AMD and Intel®-powered Copilot+ PCs. This feature, previously introduced for Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs, aims to enhance accessibility by offering quick overviews of visual content. It is particularly beneficial for generating alt text for created artifacts. Upon first use, the necessary models are set up, ensuring that descriptions are generated locally on your device, thereby keeping sensitive data secure.
For more information on using Click to Do, please visit our dedicated page. You can also check out frequently asked questions regarding rich image descriptions.

Enhancing Accessibility with Image Descriptions in Narrator
We are committed to improving digital accessibility by enabling rich, detailed descriptions of images, charts, and graphs in Narrator, utilizing AI capabilities on Copilot+ PCs. In a world where visuals are ubiquitous, many remain inaccessible to blind and low-vision users due to insufficient alt text. Following the rollout for Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs, this feature is now available for AMD and Intel®-powered devices as well.
With this enhancement, Narrator will generate richer image descriptions. Users can simply press the Narrator key + Ctrl + D to receive contextual descriptions of images, detailing elements such as people, objects, colors, text, and numbers. For instance, an image depicting stock performance will yield a comprehensive description of the graph showcasing Microsoft Corporation’s stock prices alongside the S&P 500 and NASDAQ indexes.
To activate Narrator, press “Ctrl + Windows key + Enter” or search for “Narrator” in the Windows search box. On your first attempt to use the image descriptions feature with Narrator Key + Ctrl + D, the necessary models will be downloaded. You can monitor the download status via Settings > Windows Update.
For those new to Narrator, a complete guide is available to assist you in navigating its features. Additionally, frequently asked questions about rich image descriptions in Narrator can be found here.
FEEDBACK: Please submit your feedback in Feedback Hub (WIN + F) under Accessibility > Narrator.
Gradual Changes and Improvements in the Dev Channel
[General]
- To enhance Windows performance, logs will now be collected when your PC experiences slow or sluggish performance. Windows Insiders are encouraged to provide feedback regarding any performance issues, allowing Feedback Hub to automatically gather these logs for quicker issue resolution. Use the Desktop > System Sluggishness category when submitting feedback to facilitate this process. These logs are stored locally and only sent to Microsoft upon feedback submission.
[Click to Do (Preview)]
The following changes and improvements are being rolled out for Click to Do on Copilot+ PCs:
- A trial is underway to remove the search box from the top bar of Click to Do.
[Lock Screen]
- The lock screen widgets experience is being updated for Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel, introducing widget suggestions to help users discover more options. This feature can be toggled on or off under Settings > Personalization > Lock screen. Please note that this experience is still being refined and may change in future updates.
[Settings]
- Users can now navigate to Settings > Privacy & security > Text and image generation to view which third-party applications have recently utilized generative AI models provided by Windows. This page offers visibility into specific apps leveraging local generative AI models and allows users to control which applications are permitted to use them, enhancing user control over their device’s AI experience. While the UI is present in this flight, the functionality will be activated in a future update.

Gradual Fixes in the Dev Channel
[Notification Center]
[Other]
- An underlying issue with dbgcore.dll has been resolved, which could have led to crashes in explorer.exe and other applications.
Known Issues
[General]
- Some Windows Insiders may encounter a rollback when attempting to install this update, accompanied by a 0x80070005 error in Windows Update. We are actively working on a fix for those affected. If you are impacted, using Settings > System > Recovery > “Fix issues using Windows Update” may resolve the problem.
- Users may experience multiple error pop-ups regarding unexpected elements when opening the Group Policy Editor.
[Start Menu]
The following known issues are present for Windows Insiders with the new Start menu:
- Touch navigation within the new Start menu may not function reliably, particularly with the swipe-up gesture.
- Drag-and-drop capabilities are limited from “All” to “Pinned.”
[Live Captions]
- [NEW] Live captions may crash when attempting to use live translation on a Copilot+ PC.
[Xbox Controllers]
- Some Insiders are experiencing issues where using their Xbox Controller via Bluetooth leads to a bugcheck on their PC. To resolve this, open Device Manager by searching for it in the taskbar. Once open, click on “View” and then “Devices by Driver.” Locate the driver named “oemXXX.inf (XboxGameControllerDriver.inf)” and uninstall it.
[Click to Do (Preview)]
The following known issues will be addressed in future updates for Windows Insiders:
- Insiders on AMD or Intel®-powered Copilot+ PCs may experience extended wait times on their first attempt to perform intelligent text actions in Click to Do following a new build or model update.
[Input]
- The Microsoft Changjie Input method is not functioning correctly in this build, specifically regarding word selection. Reverting to the previous version of the IME in Settings should alleviate the issue while we work on a fix.
Reminders for Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel
- Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel receive updates based on Windows 11, version 25H2 via an enablement package (Build 26200.xxxx). For more information on Windows 11, version 25H2, please refer to our blog post.
- Many features in the Dev Channel are rolled out using Control Feature Rollout technology, starting with a subset of Insiders and gradually expanding as we monitor feedback to ensure a smooth rollout.
- For those in the Dev Channel eager to access features gradually rolled out to you, enable the toggle to receive the latest updates via Settings > Windows Update. Over time, we will increase the rollout of features to all users with the toggle turned on. If you keep this toggle off, new features will be gradually rolled out to your PC as they become ready.
- Features and experiences included in these builds may not be released, as we explore different concepts and gather feedback. Features may evolve, be removed, or replaced, and may not extend beyond Windows Insiders. Some features may appear in future Windows releases when they are ready.
- Some features currently in development may not be fully localized, with localization occurring over time as features are finalized. If you encounter localization issues in your language, please report them via Feedback Hub.
- Note that some accessibility features may not function with features like Recall and Click to Do while in preview with Windows Insiders.
- As the Dev and Beta Channels represent parallel development paths, there may be instances where features and experiences appear in the Beta Channel first.
- For a comprehensive overview of which build is in which Insider channel, please check out Flight Hub.
Thanks,
Amanda & Brandon
