Immersive Experiences Await
Guests will encounter these charming baby mobs positioned within six distinct Minecraft-themed scenes scattered throughout the theme park. The event promises a variety of interactive activities, including a mob trail designed to unlock an exclusive in-game reward for participants.
Fans of Minecraft can also capture memorable moments alongside iconic characters such as Iron Golem, Chicken Jockey, and Creeper, as well as delightful puppets representing yellow axolotls, baby pandas, pigs, goats, chicks, wolf pups, and more. To complement the experience, themed snacks like Minecraft-inspired TNT popcorn will be available, alongside a selection of exclusive new merchandise.
“Minecraft is loved by families around the world, and this summer we’re bringing that sense of play and discovery into our park,” stated Howard Ebison, vice president at Alton Towers. “’Minecraft Meet the Mobs’ is set to delight our guests with interactive moments across the park, an opportunity to unlock exclusive in-game rewards, enjoy themed treats, and plenty of surprises along the way.”
This limited-time Minecraft experience is included with standard park admission and will be available at Alton Towers for a six-week duration from July 18 to August 28. With over 350 million copies sold, Minecraft holds the title of the best-selling video game of all time. Furthermore, the game is being transformed into the first-ever theme park land at Chessington World of Adventures in the UK, with a £50 million project slated to open in 2027.
Merlin’s collaboration with Minecraft developer Mojang Studios was announced in 2024, with plans to invest over £85 million (0 million) in two new attractions across the UK and US.
