Among these efforts, some individuals have reportedly tested the leaked DLSS 5 DLL on the RPCS3 renderer.

In a post shared on X, the official RPCS3 account stated, “Whilst the gaming industry pushes more upscalers and frame generation to hallucinate games and hide their lack of optimisation, we do not ship any of that slop.” This bold declaration has sparked a wave of criticism from certain users, with one individual describing RPCS3’s response as “possibly the dumbest” they could have anticipated. They contended that technologies like DLSS and FSR frame generation can enhance game-engine optimizations rather than merely conceal subpar performance.
