Mojang has unveiled the latest iteration of its popular game, introducing Minecraft 26.3 Snapshot 3, which brings a refreshing focus on player comfort alongside a suite of technical enhancements. Among the standout features are the Cushion and the Straw Bed, both designed to enrich the gaming experience by offering new avenues for relaxation and convenience.
With the addition of the Cushion, players can now enjoy a cozy seating option available in a palette of 16 vibrant colors, each corresponding to the various wool shades. Crafted from three wool slabs of the same hue, these cushions can be placed on any flat surface, allowing players to sit back and unwind. Notably, they align seamlessly with the grid and can overlap with most objects, enhancing the creative possibilities within the game. However, players should be mindful that cushions will break if their supporting block is removed.
The Straw Bed, another innovative feature, allows players to sleep through the night without the need to establish a spawn point. This single-use bed, crafted from three hay bales to yield four beds, is designed for those moments when a quick rest is needed. However, it cannot be utilized in the Nether or The End, ensuring that players remain grounded in their adventures. A new statistic has also been introduced to track the number of times players have utilized the Straw Bed, adding an extra layer of engagement.
