Announcing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5651 (Dev Channel)

June 13, 2025

Hello Windows Insiders. Today marks the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5651 (KB5060818) to the Dev Channel, bringing a host of new features and improvements designed to enhance user experience. Changes in Dev Channel builds and updates are categorized into two main groups: new features, improvements, and fixes that are gradually rolled out for Insiders who have opted to receive the latest updates through Settings > Windows Update, and those that are being made available to all users in the Dev Channel. For further details, please refer to the Reminders section at the end of this post.

New Copilot+ PC Experiences

Introducing the New Agent in Settings

A recent update to Settings aims to alleviate one of the most common frustrations users face: locating and adjusting settings on their PCs. With this enhancement, users can simply articulate their needs, such as “how to control my PC by voice” or “my mouse pointer is too small,” and the intelligent agent will suggest appropriate steps to resolve the issue. This AI-powered agent understands user intent and, with permission, can automate tasks on their behalf. Currently, this feature is being rolled out to Windows Insiders using Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs, with support for AMD and Intel™-powered devices coming shortly. Please note that this feature is available only if your primary display language is set to English.

FEEDBACK: We encourage you to provide feedback via the Feedback Hub (WIN + F) under Settings > All other settings.

New Recall Export Experience for Windows Insiders in the EEA

Windows Insiders in the European Economic Area can now export their Recall snapshots for sharing with third-party applications and websites. Upon first opening Recall and opting to save snapshots, users will receive a unique Recall export code, essential for future exports. This export process is safeguarded by robust security and privacy measures. All exported snapshots are encrypted and require Windows Hello authentication for export, ensuring that only the user can access their data. Microsoft does not retain access to the export code, so if it is lost, recovery is not possible.

If the export code is lost or if unauthorized access is suspected, users can reset Recall, which will delete all snapshots and reset settings. After resetting, a new code will be generated upon re-enabling snapshot saving. Users can initiate an export at any time from Settings > Privacy & Security > Recall & Snapshots > Advanced Settings, requiring Windows Hello authentication. There are two export options available:

  • Export past snapshots: A single export of all Recall snapshots from the last 7 days, last 30 days, or all snapshots.
  • Export snapshots from now on: Initiates continuous export of snapshots from the time this setting is enabled until it is turned off or Recall is reset.

For detailed instructions on exporting snapshots from Recall, please see the Export Recall snapshots guide.

Exported snapshots will be encrypted. To share these with a third-party app or website, users must provide their Recall export code and the path to the exported snapshots folder. Developer documentation will be available soon.

For managed devices, IT administrators can configure Recall export using the AllowRecallExport policy or corresponding Group Policy setting, which allows organizations to determine whether users can export their Recall snapshots. By default, exporting is disabled on managed devices, and the process is user-initiated.

FEEDBACK: Please submit feedback in the Feedback Hub (WIN + F) under Desktop Environment > Recall or through in-experience links.

Fixes Gradually Being Rolled Out to the Dev Channel with Toggle On*

[Recall (Preview)]

The following fixes are being implemented for Recall on Copilot+ PCs:

  • An issue causing Recall to crash for some Insiders in previous flights has been resolved.

[File Explorer]

  • Fixed an issue where folders opened from outside File Explorer would not focus correctly in new tabs.
  • Addressed a memory leak affecting performance during navigation through File Explorer folders.
  • Improvements have been made to the performance of extracting archive files, particularly beneficial for large 7z or .rar files.

[Start Menu]

  • Resolved an issue where the new Start menu displayed incorrectly for users with Arabic or Hebrew display languages.
  • Fixed functionality for the Move to front / Move right / Move left options in the context menu for pinned apps.

[Settings]

  • An underlying issue causing some Insiders to see Settings navigation pane entries in English rather than their preferred language has been fixed.

[Other]

  • Resolved an issue where fonts in specific app menu items appeared corrupted or overlapped, affecting typing in Word for certain languages.
  • Fixed a delay experienced when running a script on a remote SMB share linked to older Windows Server versions.

Known Issues

[General]

  • Post-PC reset under Settings > System > Recovery, the build version may inaccurately display as Build 26100 instead of Build 26200. This will not hinder future Dev Channel updates.
  • The reset option under Settings > System > Recovery is currently non-functional in this build.
  • We are investigating reports of repeated bugchecks with KERNELSECURITYCHECK_FAILURE following upgrades to the latest Dev Channel builds.
  • A small number of Insiders may encounter a rollback when attempting to install this update, accompanied by a 0x80070005 error in Windows Update.

[Start Menu]

The following known issues affect users with the new Start menu:

  • Touch navigation may not function reliably, particularly the swipe-up gesture.
  • Drag and drop capabilities are limited from “All” to “Pinned.”
  • Duplicate entries may occasionally appear in folders on the Start menu.

[Xbox Controllers]

  • Some Insiders are experiencing issues with Xbox Controllers via Bluetooth, leading to bugchecks. To resolve this, users can uninstall the driver named “oemXXX.inf (XboxGameControllerDriver.inf)” through Device Manager.

[Recall (Preview)]

The following known issues will be addressed in future updates:

  • Windows Insiders on managed PCs in the EEA using Recall may experience a broken export functionality.

[Click to Do (Preview)]

The following known issues will be resolved in upcoming updates:

  • Insiders on AMD or Intel™-powered Copilot+ PCs may face delays when performing intelligent text actions in Click to Do after a new build or model update.

[Improved Windows Search]

  • [REMINDER] For optimal performance with improved Windows Search on Copilot+ PCs, it is advisable to connect your device for the initial search indexing. The search indexing status can be checked under Settings > Privacy & security > Searching Windows.

[File Explorer]

Known issues for AI actions in File Explorer include:

  • Narrator scan mode may not function correctly in the action result canvas window for the Summarize AI action when reading bulleted lists. Users can navigate using Caps + Right key as a workaround.

[Widgets]

  • Until support for pinning in the new widgets board experience is completed, pinning will revert to the previous experience.
