Minecraft Expands Experiences Ahead of Licensing Expo

Minecraft is making significant strides in its global licensing and entertainment strategy, forging new partnerships and creating immersive experiences that expand its influence across various sectors. As it approaches Licensing Expo 2026, the brand proudly announces a robust network of over 200 partners worldwide, encompassing categories such as apparel, food, collectibles, and creative play.

Expanding Collaborations and Product Offerings

Recent collaborations highlight Minecraft’s innovative approach to licensing. Notable partnerships include a stylish apparel line with Cool Shirtz, a continued alliance with Adidas that integrates in-game elements, and a global fashion collection with OppoSuits. Additionally, the brand is venturing into new product categories, featuring Actimel products across Europe, the anticipated global launch of Sticki Rolls, STEM-focused activity kits from Horizon Group USA, and a plush collaboration with Ty, inspired by the beloved Beanie Babies format.

“Minecraft continues to grow because it’s a platform for creativity that extends far beyond the game itself,” shares Hanna Willis, Head of Global Consumer Products for Minecraft. “From innovative licensing partnerships to immersive real-world experiences and new storytelling, we’re seeing incredible momentum as the brand continues its expansion across entertainment, consumer products, and global fan engagement.”

Location-Based Entertainment Initiatives

Location-based entertainment (LBE) is emerging as a vital growth area for the franchise. Following the successful launch of Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue, the brand is set to unveil Minecraft Experience: Moonlight Trail, an outdoor nighttime attraction. Furthermore, a collaboration between Merlin Entertainments and Mojang Studios is in the works to develop Minecraft World, a themed land expected to open at Chessington World of Adventures in 2027.

Entertainment Pipeline and Future Projects

The entertainment pipeline for Minecraft is also expanding. A sequel to A Minecraft Movie is currently in development with Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures, alongside a new animated series for Netflix that will introduce original characters and storylines set within the Minecraft universe.

As the franchise continues to evolve, its diverse mix of licensing, immersive experiences, and storytelling initiatives reinforces its status as a cross-platform brand, effectively connecting global audiences through play, creativity, and entertainment.
