Playstrom and SayGames Embrace New Horizons in PC Game Development
Playstrom, a Belarus-based game studio, has made significant strides in the mobile gaming landscape, boasting over 1.5 billion downloads across more than 20 titles, including the widely popular Color Page ASMR, developed in collaboration with publisher SayGames. However, the studio is not content to rest on its past achievements; instead, it is embarking on an ambitious journey into the world of PC game development.
In 2026, Playstrom and SayGames are set to launch Shipping Store Simulator 2037, marking Playstrom’s inaugural venture into dedicated PC gaming. “Currently, our entire focus is on Shipping Store Simulator 2037. While we have several early prototypes for new mobile games, we’ve intentionally paused those projects to ensure our team can fully dedicate their efforts to this first PC title,” shared Ivan Bogdanchuk, Playstrom’s founder and CEO, in a written interview with GamesBeat. He emphasized that this move is not merely a one-time experiment; rather, it represents a strategic exploration of the studio’s strengths in PC development.
Initially, Playstrom established its PC development arm as a research and development team aimed at fostering innovation across various platforms. As the team honed its expertise in PC development, it became evident that their first major project would be tailored specifically for PC users. Importantly, this shift does not signal a departure from mobile gaming; instead, it signifies a new chapter of growth for the company.
Looking ahead, Bogdanchuk indicated that their next project could either be a co-op title or something entirely novel in terms of genre. “The decision will hinge on which concept demonstrates the most promise,” he noted.
During the development of Shipping Store Simulator 2037, Playstrom has gleaned valuable insights into the marketing and discovery dynamics that differentiate mobile and PC audiences. Bogdanchuk envisions that success in PC development will ultimately enhance their mobile offerings, with plans to create mobile adaptations of successful PC titles. “A successful PC game can serve as a robust foundation for a mobile version, as it already has an established audience. This is an exciting direction for us,” he remarked. “Our aim is to design our PC projects with cross-platform capabilities from the outset, positioning PC as the primary platform while mobile serves as the next evolutionary step.”
Early indicators suggest that Playstrom and SayGames’ first dedicated PC title is poised to resonate well with its intended audience. The game’s official demo received a Very Positive rating on Steam following its recent showcase at Steam Next Fest. To amplify awareness of Shipping Store Simulator ahead of its anticipated release later this year, SayGames plans to invest significantly in influencer campaigns and paid user acquisition strategies. “While our expertise lies in mobile, we were eager to support our long-term partner studio in their expansion into PC gaming,” stated Yegor Vaikhanski, co-founder and CEO of SayGames. “This is the essence of a strong, enduring partnership.”
